The official meaning of “The Elephant in the room “is: an issue that everyone is aware
of but that no one wants to talk about.  In the case of this project the Elephant In
the room will be the issue everyone is aware of and a solution that many may welcome.  

The problem: The lack of green space that is habitable all year round in the city of Chicago

The Solution: The conversion of a Chicago land mark  (The Merchandise Mart ) into an indoor green space.
