The theory was to create a library that was something more than just a library. To create that library it would need to contain additional program that would increases the value and use of this structure. The library, apart from the book collection and general facilities, will also have a theater, a café / restaurant, red line stop and a 24hour coffee shop. This added program would bring people for more than just research and book check outs. This program will add a dynamic value to the structure by catering to the students around the area with recreation and a convenient point of public transportation.   
The problem: An outdated idea of what a library “should” be versus what modern Americans need currently.

The Solution: An updated version of a public governmental facility that caters to the various needs of citizens .
